GoodReads Book Review # 1- Go Ask Alice by Beatrice Sparks

Go Ask AliceGo Ask Alice by Beatrice Sparks

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Go Ask Alice by Beatrice Sparks. Published December 25 2005. The genre of Go Ask Alice is an auto biagraphy. There is no critical acclaim of the book. Go Ask Alice has 159 page and took me about 1 week to read. The characters of the book are Alice and her family and friends. The setting of the story took place in her neighborhood and the places she ran away to, the time was in the 80s.

The protgonist of the story is Alice. Some of the choice she has to make is wether or not she wants to do drugs. The major conflict of the story is that Alice chooses to do drugs. The antagonist of the story is the person that drugs her. The other characters of the book are Alice's friends, parents and grandparents.

The theme of the book is making choices. The message the athour is trying to say is that you should make the right choices.Alice makes a decision i disagree with when she decides she is going to keep using drugs. If i was he her would have never done them. The actions of the characters give us a better understanding of the message because there actions are like examples to show us what the athour is trying to say.

I like that the book Go ask Alice is a diary because it's interesting to read about the things that happen in other peoples lives. I didn't like how short the book was.

I recommend this book because it's interesting to read about someone elses live. The book i'm about to start reading is Jay's journal,it's like Go ask Alice but it is a diffrent character.
